The Medicines Control Council is giving it guidelines on growing cannabis for medicinal use.
The Medicines Control Council has on Wednesday briefed MPs on its framework for medicinal cannabis access in South Africa.
Some MPs support the guidelines, but others have questioned how it will be enforced. In other words, how will legal marijuana growers or users be differentiated from illegal ones?
The MCC's Griffith Molewa has assured MPs that it has thought of the policing aspect.
The framework will be gazetted on Friday and be made available to the public.
