PLANTATION, Florida – The Jamaican Women of Florida will host its annual community health and wellness seminar on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at the West Regional Library, located at 8601 West Broward Boulevard, Plantation.
This year the theme of the seminar which commences at 2:00 pm will take the form of a conversation about the positive usage of cannabis.,
The JWOF believes it is time to have a frank and open community conversation about cannabis (marijuana) Heather Creary the chairwoman of the organization’s Health and Wellness committee said, “We will not discuss the morality or the right and wrong of cannabis. This conversation is about debunking the myths and separating the facts from the fiction of cannabis. Together, with the help of a panel of experts, we will explore the medical and scientific facts about cannabis. We will look at changes in cannabis law here in Florida and around the country. We will also look at the business of cannabis, including investment opportunities.”
Creary said no conversation about cannabis would be complete without also talking about CBD products. CBD, a derivative from cannabis, is a growing industry with annual revenue exceeding 6 billion dollars. What are the investment opportunities for the community in this growing industry?
There will also have health and wellness vendors present to inform and educate attendees concerning CBD products and the medical of cannabis in general. Attendees are encouraged to bring an open and enquiring mind, along with questions and ideas to share with the group and our panel of experts.
